The eagerly anticipated OTTplay Changemakers Awards are set to return on October 26, 2024, at the illustrious Taj Coromandel in Chennai. This event, organized by OTTplay—India's leading AI-driven OTT app—will celebrate the evolution and innovations within South Indian cinema, recognizing individuals driving change across OTT platforms and traditional film sectors.

Following the successful inaugural event in 2023 that recognized disruptors in Indian cinema, this year's awards focus exclusively on Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam films. These industries have made significant strides in storytelling and commercial success. Attendees will witness the recognition of talent across about 35 categories with special awards for 'Disruptive Star', 'Most Versatile Performer', and 'Inspiring Actor'.

Avinash Mudaliar, Co-founder and CEO of OTTplay, emphasized that the awards are about more than just talent recognition. They aim to celebrate the transformative power of storytelling in South Indian cinema. New categories like 'Voice of Change' and 'Cinema for Change' highlight the industry's dedication to social causes and innovation. The event partners, including Hindu Tamil Thisai and Vedanta Anil Agarwal Foundation, ensure a credible process with widespread streaming on Zee5 and radio coverage by Fever FM.
