Ratan Tata's visionary leadership has left an indelible mark on the global business landscape as well as in aviation, according to Singapore Airlines CEO Goh Choon Phong. Tata's legacy is set to inspire Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines as both entities work on merging Vistara with Air India.

Vistara, a collaboration born from Tata Group and Singapore Airlines' joint efforts, first saw the light of day in 2015. Prior attempts to venture into India's aviation market dated back to 1994, but it was not until this partnership that they succeeded.

The merger announced in November 2022 marks a significant milestone. Goh Choon Phong expressed his deepest condolences on behalf of Singapore Airlines, reiterating Tata's pivotal role in their enduring partnership and praising Vistara's emergence as a beloved full-service airline in India.
