During the annual session of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Union Home Minister Amit Shah reiterated the commendable economic strides undertaken by the Modi government. Shah emphasized the absence of corruption charges over the past decade, a feat recognized even by opposition parties.
Shah underscored the transformative effect of various reforms executed since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office in 2014, describing the shift from 'policy paralysis' to a 'policy of performance'. With significant contributions to infrastructure, digital economy, and manufacturing, India has risen from the 'Fragile Five' economies to a 'bright spot' as labeled by the IMF.
Looking forward, Shah projected that initiatives focusing on semiconductor industry, electric vehicles, and digital economies will see India emerge as a global leader by 2047. Recent socio-economic advancements, like widespread access to basic utilities, have poised India to be a market of 1.3 billion consumers.
