Global food and beverage giant PepsiCo announced a double-digit rise in organic revenue growth from its Indian market for the third quarter of 2024. This comes amid challenges faced in other regions under the AMESA division.
PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Ramon Laguarta highlighted India's pivotal role during an investor call, citing strong growth potential in Southeast Asia and India. The company saw high-single-digit growth in India's beverage and convenient food sectors, underpinning the region's strategic importance.
Despite a 4 percent drop in net revenue in the AMESA division due to adverse foreign exchange impacts and decreased unit volumes, India's growth partially offset declines elsewhere. Globally, PepsiCo recorded a 0.6 percent dip in net revenue, yet remained resilient amid geopolitical tensions and industry challenges.
