External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar affirmed on Tuesday that he has committed to visiting Argentina, following the visit of Argentina's Foreign Minister Diana Mondino, accompanied by a business delegation. This gesture was extended during the 7th India-Argentina Joint Commission Meeting held in New Delhi.

Addressing Mondino, Jaishankar recalled their last meeting in Munich earlier this year and expressed satisfaction with the productive discussions held with her business delegation. He noted the significance of Mondino's participation in the Voice of Global South Summit in August, highlighting the event's importance to India.

As India and Argentina commemorate 75 years of diplomatic ties, Jaishankar underscored the stability in economic relations despite a minor setback. He emphasized the potential for growth as they look across various sectors, emphasizing energy, minerals, health, agri-tech, and defense, as areas for expanding bilateral trade and investment partnerships.
