In a tragic accident near Thiruvambady on Tuesday, a KSRTC bus carrying around 50 passengers overturned, leading to the deaths of two elderly women and injuries to about 20 others, according to police reports.
The bus collided with a stone wall roadside and subsequently overturned into a nearby stream, officials said. The fatalities include two women aged 63 and 75.
Authorities confirmed that the accident took place around 2 pm, with all the injured personnel now receiving medical attention at local hospitals. Investigations are ongoing, with police collecting statements from the passengers to register a case.
