INS Nirdeshak: Enhancing India's Naval Survey Capabilities
Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd has delivered INS Nirdeshak, a survey vessel, to the Indian Navy. Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Ltd (GRSE) has delivered the INS Nirdeshak, the second survey vessel in its class, to the Indian Navy, reinforcing India's naval survey capabilities.
The vessel, part of a series of four, follows the INS Sandhayak, which was delivered last December. These survey vessels are the largest of their kind built in India, highlighting the country's shipbuilding prowess and self-reliance initiatives.
The GRSE is presently engaged in constructing 17 more warships, including advanced frigates and anti-submarine vessels, continuing its vital role in bolstering India's maritime defense infrastructure.
