Canon (www.Canon-CNA.com) has announced the launch of its latest additions to the imagePROGRAF series: the imagePROGRAF TZ-32000 and imagePROGRAF TX-4200/TX-3200. These new 5-colour large-format printers are designed to meet the needs of a variety of industries, including architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing (AEC&M), print service providers (PSPs), and public sector bodies. The printers are ideal for producing high-quality CAD and GIS prints, as well as posters, with improved productivity and vivid colour output.
The flagship TZ-32000 is built for high-speed, high-volume printing, making it a perfect fit for industries requiring precise and efficient CAD printing. Capable of printing 4 A1 pages per minute, it holds the title of the fastest printer in the imagePROGRAF lineup. Its dual roll input and Top Delivery Tray (TDT) allow for seamless media changes and the ability to stack up to 100 CAD drawings, enhancing productivity further.
The TX-4200 and TX-3200 models, designed for both CAD and poster printing, offer widths of 44" and 36", respectively, and deliver high-speed performance of up to 3.3 A1 pages per minute. These models cater to a broad spectrum of needs, including retail and distribution industries, with features like dual roll media input and faster paper exchange processes.
Key Features:
Enhanced Print Quality: The printers offer sharper line quality and brighter, more consistent colours, ideal for detailed CAD prints and posters. The newly designed image processing technology and Canon’s latest magenta ink enhance the vibrancy of prints, even on plain paper.
Productivity and Efficiency: An easy paper loading system reduces roll setup time by 30% compared to previous models. Advanced ink sensing and colour calibration functions ensure continuous high-quality output, reducing device downtime.
Eco-Friendly Design: The new models are engineered for lower power consumption, with the TZ-32000 using 29% less power and the TX-4200/TX-3200 consuming 25% less power than earlier models. Canon has also eliminated expanded polystyrene (EPS) from its packaging and secured EPEAT Gold certification in the United States.
Security Features: To safeguard sensitive data, the printers include encryption, secure PIN code printing, and secure hard drive erasure.
According to Mathew Faulkner, Director of Marketing & Innovation at Canon EMEA, the new models are designed to provide reliable and high-quality printing solutions for industries that rely on accurate and durable technical prints. These enhancements ensure technical drawings remain easy to read, even when used on-site in varying conditions, thanks to robust pigment inks that prevent smudging.
The new imagePROGRAF models are available starting October 1 from Canon's accredited partners and directly from Canon.
