Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) announced that flight operations at Mumbai Airport will cease for six hours on October 17. This suspension allows essential post-monsoon maintenance on two cross runways.
The closures, part of the annual maintenance strategy, were communicated via a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) issued six months ahead. This ensures thorough coordination with stakeholders to maintain service continuity.
The cross runways RWY 09/27 and RWY 14/32 are scheduled to be non-operational from 11 am to 5 pm on the mentioned date. This downtime supports the airport's goal of adhering to global standards for safety and infrastructure integrity.
