Vedanta's Mixed Production Report: Gains in Aluminium, Zinc, Iron Ore Amid Declines Elsewhere

Mining giant Vedanta Ltd displayed a varied performance in the September quarter, recording increases in aluminium, zinc, and iron ore production. Specifically, aluminium production climbed 3% to 609,000 tonnes compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, Zinc India's output also rose to 262,000 tonnes. However, the story was different for Zinc International, where production fell 34% to 44,000 tonnes.
The company reported a 22% drop in oil and gas output and a similar decline in steel production due to planned shutdowns. Vedanta Ltd remains a key player in the natural resources sector with operations spanning multiple countries.
