Odisha CM Woos Investors at 'Make-In-Odisha' Curtain Raiser

Highlighting Odisha's resources, skilled workforce, and emerging sectors, he emphasized opportunities in mineral industries, tourism, and sustainable development while inviting global investment and collaboration.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi engaged with ambassadors from around the globe in New Delhi, setting the stage for the upcoming 'Make-In-Odisha' conclave scheduled for January. Addressing the gathering, he showcased Odisha's strategic location on India's eastern seaboard, boasting a vast coastline of over 480 kilometres.
The Chief Minister emphasized Odisha's status as a burgeoning investment hub across various sectors. He pointed out the state's rich mineral resources, including iron ore, bauxite, nickel, chromite, and coal, which position it as a pivotal player in India's mineral and metal industries. Majhi also highlighted the skilled workforce ready to support contemporary industrial needs.
Majhi outlined Odisha's progression into sectors like apparel, technical textiles, food processing, chemicals, petrochemicals, IT, and renewable energy, stressing the importance of sustainable economic development. He further promoted Odisha's tourism offers, including its pristine beaches and UNESCO World Heritage sites, inviting international collaboration and investments.
