Government Launches Prime Minister's Internship Scheme

The government on Thursday unveiled an internship initiative promising Rs 66,000 in annual financial aid to young adults aged 21 to 24, aiming to benefit one crore individuals over five years.
Slated to commence on December 2, the pilot project aims to enroll 1.25 lakh candidates by March 2025, costing approximately Rs 800 crore, according to government sources.
Introduced in the Union Budget 2024, the Prime Minister's Internship Scheme in Top Companies will offer insurance coverage and is accessible via an online portal managed by the corporate affairs ministry.
