Kautilya Economic Conclave 2023: India's Era of Economic Leadership

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the third Kautilya Economic Conclave, focusing on job creation, green economy, AI, and policy design. On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address the third Kautilya Economic Conclave, aimed at discussing pivotal issues such as job creation, the green economy, artificial intelligence, and public policy design. This year's focus prominently includes topics like reforming international financial systems and financing green transitions.

The event, themed 'The Indian Era,' is organized by the Department of Economic Affairs and the Institute of Economic Growth. It will bring together approximately 150 national and international academicians and policymakers to explore critical challenges facing both the Indian economy and the economies of the Global South. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will open the event, and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will conclude it.

Discussions will range from job creation in India to adapting multilateral systems to prevent geo-economic fragmentation. The conclave will also explore leveraging India's strengths in AI, ML, and Fintech, planning growth resilience, and devising reforms for a sustainable and efficient financial system. Speakers include Finance Minister of Bhutan Lyonpo Lekey Dorji and NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Suman Beri.
