Workers of Samsung India Electronics Ltd intensified their ongoing protest on Wednesday by observing a token fast near the factory. This action marks the fourth week of their strike.

The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU), which leads the protest, plans to meet the Director of Factories, alleging the company has employed temporary workers amid the strike.

About 1,100 Samsung India employees have been striking since September 9, calling for wage revisions and improved work conditions. Despite multiple negotiation rounds involving the labor department, another tripartite meeting is scheduled for next week, according to CITU sources.
