Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal engaged in bilateral discussions with leading global private equity firms Warburg Pincus and Blackstone on Tuesday, exploring investment prospects in electronics and renewable energy sectors in India.

During his visit to the US, at the invitation of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, Goyal will co-chair the India-USA CEO Forum on October 2 and the 6th India-USA Commercial Dialogue on October 3 in Washington D.C.

On social media platform X, Goyal shared insights from his meeting with Warburg Pincus Chair Timothy F Geithner, emphasizing efforts to facilitate business operations in India, including single-window clearances and industrial infrastructure enhancements.

He further engaged with Blackstone's Chairman Stephen A Schwarzman regarding future investment plans as India experiences rapid growth. In meetings with KKR's Co-Founder Henry R Kravis, he highlighted the investment potential in electronics manufacturing and logistics sectors.

Additionally, Goyal held discussions with BlackRock COO Robert Goldstein, exploring opportunities to leverage their expertise for transforming India's investment ecosystem.

He invited American companies to participate in India's high-tech manufacturing, pointing out the country's significant recent economic growth and its large consumer market.
