In response to the festive rush during Durga Puja, Metro Railway Kolkata has announced an extended schedule. On October 10 and 11, they will operate 248 services on the North-South corridor, extending up to 4 am, according to an official.

On those days, trains will run from 12:55 pm to 1:02 am and again from 3:38 am to 4 am on the Dakshineswar-New Garia stretch. For 'Dashami' on October 12, 174 services will be available from 1 pm till midnight.

Starting the festive season, on 'Sasthi' (October 9), the metro will run 288 services from 6:50 am till midnight. For Green Line 1 between Sector V to Sealdah, the authorities plan 64 services on 'Saptami-Ashtami/Navami', 48 on 'Dashami', and 106 on 'Sasthi'. For Green Line 2, connecting Howrah Maidan to Esplanade, there will be 118 services on 'Saptami-Ashtami/Navami' and 80 on 'Dashami'.
