Amazon India's Great Indian Festival has witnessed an overwhelmingly positive response, notably from tier-2 and smaller cities, which accounted for 80% of customer visits within the initial 48 hours.

The festival, which began on September 27, 2024, reported a record 11 crore customer visits, demonstrating a strong consumer demand. More than 75% of all smartphone sales, 80% of TV orders, and over 60% of fashion and beauty orders originated from these smaller cities.

Additionally, 8,000 sellers crossed the Rs 1 lakh in sales benchmark within the first 48 hours, while 20,000 SMBs witnessed a remarkable increase in their sales, doubling compared to an average day.
