The Andhra Pradesh government on Monday rolled out a groundbreaking liquor policy that permits private retailers to sell alcohol, drawing inspiration from successful models in states like Haryana.
Anticipating revenues of Rs 5,500 crore, this complete overhaul of the excise protocol heralds the opening of 3,736 retail shops across the state.
The policy, officially notified by the state government, will be effective from October 12, 2024.
