In a significant development, Ashok Leyland has entered into a partnership with global travel-technology leader FlixBus to enhance travel options and empower bus operators through advanced technology. The collaboration was sealed with the signing of a memorandum of understanding, as announced by the city-based company on Tuesday.

This partnership will grant FlixBus operators access to Ashok Leyland's advanced chassis and after-sales services, ensuring seamless and efficient operations. The MoU underscores FlixBus's plans to expand its fleet and network across India.

'Ashok Leyland is excited to team up with FlixBus,' said Shenu Agarwal, MD and CEO of Ashok Leyland. 'Our focus on cutting-edge technologies aims to prioritize safety and performance while offering industry-leading total cost of ownership.'

Ashok Leyland’s Head of Bus Vertical, Mohan K, exchanged documents with FlixBus COO Max Zeumer and FlixBus India MD Surya Khurana to formalize the agreement. The partnership aligns with FlixBus India's vision of accessible, sustainable, and passenger-friendly intercity bus travel.

Since its market entry, FlixBus India has served over three lakh passengers and is set to extend its services beyond Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai. 'We're committed to creating a robust network that meets safety and comfort standards,' said Khurana, emphasizing innovation and sustainability in India's transport sector.
