JUKI Inaugurates India's First Japanese Sewing Machine Factory in Gujarat

JUKI has launched India's first Japanese sewing machine factory in Gujarat to enhance operational capabilities and reduce delivery times. VMPL New Delhi [India], October 1: JUKI has inaugurated India's first Japanese sewing machine manufacturing facility in Gujarat. The factory commenced operations in June 2024 as part of the JUKI India Manufacturing Plant. The inauguration saw the presence of prominent dignitaries including Koji Yagi, Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai, Akira Kiyohara, Chairman of Juki Corporation, and Katsumi Nihei, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Juki Corporation.

This development marks a critical milestone for JUKI as it aims to focus on divisions dedicated to sewing industries anticipated to experience substantial growth. The expansion aligns with JUKI's strategy to enhance capabilities and support its customer base in India and overseas. The new facility intends to reduce delivery times and create employment opportunities locally. Production from this plant is expected to be exported across Southwest Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and GCC regions, reducing supply lead times.
