Piyush Goyal, India's Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, held a series of pivotal meetings during his visit to New York, underscoring the nation's economic strides and transformative reforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Goyal noted a shift in global perception about India's growth potential, driven by relentless reforms and entrepreneurial efforts.

In discussions with young CEOs and entrepreneurs of Indian origin, Goyal elaborated on how key reforms have catalyzed India's growth, inviting American companies specializing in high-tech manufacturing to 'Make in India.' He emphasized the commitment to collaboration in advanced manufacturing, robotics, AI, and sustainable tech sectors.

Goyal's engagement also extended to leading investment firms. He met with Stephen A. Schwarzman of Blackstone and Henry R. Kravis of KKR, discussing their future investment plans in India's infrastructure, electronics manufacturing, and logistics sectors. Additionally, Goyal's meeting with Amneal Pharmaceuticals' Co-CEOs aimed to enhance India's pharma ecosystem for high-end R&D and manufacturing capabilities.
