Oil marketing companies announced on Tuesday a hike in commercial LPG gas cylinder prices, effective from October 1st. The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 48.50, now costing Rs 1,740 in Delhi, up from Rs 1,691.50.
In addition, the prices of 5 kg Free Trade LPG cylinders have seen an increase of Rs 12. This adjustment in rates will directly impact restaurants, hotels, and other businesses that depend on these cylinders for their operations.
Last month, on September 1st, the price of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders was raised by Rs 39. Despite the spike in commercial LPG prices, domestic LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged, providing some relief to households. The revised prices, now in effect nationwide, are expected to raise operating costs for affected sectors, potentially resulting in higher prices for consumers in various industries.
