JSW MG Motor India Reports 8% Decline in September Sales, Optimistic About Festive Season
JSW MG Motor India saw an 8% year-on-year drop in retail sales in September, selling 4,588 units compared to 5,003 units last year. Despite challenges like Shradh and an extended monsoon, the company remains positive about sales increasing with the festive season. NEVs represented 49% of September sales.

JSW MG Motor India has reported an 8 per cent decrease in year-on-year retail sales for September, selling 4,588 units compared to 5,003 units in the same month last year.
The company highlighted that new energy vehicles (NEVs) continue to be a substantial part of their sales strategy, making up 49 per cent of the total sales last month.
Looking ahead, JSW MG Motor India plans to transition to the Vaahan Portal in October 2024, marking a move towards more consistent and mature sales reporting.
The automaker acknowledged current sales challenges attributed to the inauspicious Shradh period and extended monsoon but expressed optimism about improved market conditions during the upcoming festive season.
