PM Modi to Unveil Rs83,300 Crore Projects Enhancing Tribal Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate various projects totaling over Rs83,300 crore in Jharkhand on October 2, targeting social infrastructure and educational upliftment in tribal areas. Key initiatives include 40 EMRS schools and extensive development under the PM-JANMAN scheme.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to lay the foundation stone, launch, and inaugurate projects worth over Rs83,300 crore at 2 PM in Hazaribag, Jharkhand on October 2. According to the Prime Minister's Office, the initiative will impact around 63,000 villages across 549 districts and 2,740 blocks in 30 states and Union Territories, providing direct benefits to over 5 crore tribal people. Additionally, Modi will initiate the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan scheme, which has a total budget of over Rs79,150 crore.

The Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan aims to fill critical gaps in social infrastructure, health, education, and livelihoods through 25 targeted interventions led by 17 ministries and departments. The Prime Minister will also inaugurate 40 Eklavya Model Residential Schools and lay the foundation stone for 25 additional schools, involving an investment of over Rs2,800 crore, to ensure quality education and residential facilities for tribal students.

Moreover, PM Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for several projects under the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN), valued at over Rs1,360 crore. These projects include constructing over 1,380 kilometers of roads, building 120 Anganwadi centres, 250 multipurpose centres, and 10 school hostels.

In addition, as part of the PM-JANMAN achievements, the Prime Minister will showcase significant milestones. These include the electrification of more than 75,800 Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups households across 3,000 villages, deploying 275 mobile medical units, establishing 250 Van Dhan Vikas Kendras, and providing clean drinking water through the 'Nal se Jal' program in over 5,550 PVTG villages.
