British Envoy and Madhya Pradesh CM Discuss Export and Investment Opportunities

British Deputy High Commissioner for Western India, Harjinder Kang, on Monday engaged in discussions with Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on various export and investment issues, an official announced.
According to a state government release, Kang met Yadav at the Chief Minister's official residence to explore ways to boost exports from Madhya Pradesh to Britain and attract investments from the UK into the state.
'Madhya Pradesh is a significant exporter of processed food items and agricultural products to Britain. Additionally, clothing, pharmaceuticals, plastic products, and packaging materials are exported from the region,' the release noted. 'Discussions also included increasing exports and enhancing investment in IT, food processing, apparel, automobile, health, renewable energy, and tourism sectors in Madhya Pradesh. The Chief Minister extended an invitation to Kang for the Invest Madhya Pradesh Global Investors Summit to be held in Bhopal on February 7-8 next year,' the release added.
