China's Domestic Tourism Soars Towards New Heights
China plans to witness 4.29 billion domestic tourist trips and a tourism expenditure of 4.32 trillion yuan in the first nine months of the year, according to state media. These are year-on-year increases of 16.8% and 17.1%, signaling a resurgence in domestic tourism close to 2019 levels.

China is set to experience a remarkable surge in domestic tourism, with projections indicating 4.29 billion tourist trips and a tourism expenditure of 4.32 trillion yuan in the first three quarters of the year, state media CCTV reported on Monday.
These impressive figures represent year-on-year increases of 16.8% and 17.1%, respectively, drawing domestic tourism levels close to the peak observed in 2019, CCTV added.
As of current exchange rates, $1 equals 7.0135 Chinese yuan.
