Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held comprehensive discussions with companies benefiting from the production linked incentive (PLI) scheme on Sunday.
Goyal interacted with 140 out of 1,300 manufacturing units spread across 14 sectors, revealing projected investments exceeding Rs 2 lakh crore under the scheme.
Originally estimated to create 8.5 lakh jobs, the PLI scheme could now generate approximately 12 lakh jobs, according to the latest projections shared by Goyal.
