Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday emphasized that the state's robust security environment and zero-tolerance policy towards crime have rattled those who once treated crime as a profession.

Speaking at the inauguration of Varun Beverages' new soft drink and dairy product plant near the Gorakhpur Link Expressway, Adityanath attributed the state's thriving investment climate to its stringent security measures. The facility was set up with an investment of Rs 1,170 crore.

'Investment flourishes only in a secure environment,' Adityanath stated, adding that Prime Minister Narendra Modi advocates for youth entrepreneurship over conventional jobs. He cited the state's improved law-and-order situation as a key driver for securing investment proposals totaling Rs 40 lakh crore during the recent Global Investors Summit.

The Chief Minister reiterated the government's commitment to zero tolerance towards crime to ensure a safer future. Outlining the state's investment facilitation measures, he mentioned the successful implementation of the Nivesh Mitra portal and other online systems to streamline processes and support investors.

Adityanath lauded Uttar Pradesh as an ideal investment destination, highlighting that significant job opportunities have been created, with six and a half lakh youths securing government jobs and two crore finding employment in the MSME sector.
