Leading Indian cider manufacturer L74 is poised to double its sales in Goa and is set to launch in Bangalore by November 2024, according to Director Kalp Patel. The company, which began operations last fiscal, aims to reach 1 lakh cases in the next fiscal with planned expansions into Hyderabad and Gurgaon.
The cider drink market in India, currently valued at around USD 124 million, is an emerging segment. Although India is traditionally known for hard drinks, L74's cider products have received an encouraging response. "Quarter-on-quarter, sales in Goa are expected to double in the second half of this fiscal. We are also excited to add Bangalore to our portfolio," Patel said, noting Goa's influx of tourists during November-February.
L74's products are available at over 250 retail points in Goa, with expectations to add 100 more locations this financial year. Patel shared, "Our goal is to target Gurgaon and Hyderabad as potential markets for FY 2025-26. With our upcoming Bangalore launch and expanded presence in Goa, we aim for 1,00,000 cases in sales." The company recently won four medals, including two golds, at the International Cider Challenge 2024 in London.
