Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has set an ambitious target to double the state's economy within the next three years. Speaking at the Regional Industry Conclave in Sagar, Yadav highlighted the focus on employment for youth, women, farmers, and the poor.
Efforts are also being made to boost GST collection and tax revenues, strengthen trade, and support industries ranging from micro to medium-sized businesses. The state has received investment proposals worth over Rs 2 lakh crore, indicating a strong interest from various business sectors.
Women self-help groups and students are being encouraged through high-tech courses in IT, AI, and engineering. The government is planning similar conclaves in other regions, including Rewa, Narmadapuram, and Shahdol, to further drive economic growth and development.
