Pope Francis Urges Luxembourg to Aid Developing Nations
Pope Francis visited Luxembourg to encourage its leaders to direct resources toward improving conditions in developing countries. He emphasized the need for increased foreign aid to manage refugee flows and urged more attention to disadvantaged nations. The Pope also discussed Luxembourg's integration of migrants and its low fertility rate.
Pope Francis on Thursday called on Luxembourg's leaders to allocate more resources to assist developing countries, emphasizing the moral responsibility that comes with wealth. He suggested that increased foreign aid could help reduce the influx of refugees into Europe.
During his visit, the 87-year-old pontiff highlighted Luxembourg's exemplary role in welcoming and integrating migrants and refugees. He also addressed the country's low fertility rate, humorously urging for 'more children.'
Later, the Pope headed to Belgium to meet with clergy abuse survivors, continuing his advocacy for justice and accountability within the Church.
