In Kallakurichi district, a van veered off the road and collided with a tree, resulting in the deaths of six men and injuries to eight others. Preliminary investigations suggest that the driver fell asleep at the wheel.

Meanwhile, in Krishnagiri district, a collision between a motorcycle and a truck claimed the lives of two men and a woman. The accidents led to significant traffic disruptions in both areas.
