These passionate individuals often experience an 'Aha!' moment that drives their creativity. Vidhai aims to act as a launchpad for early-stage businesses and startups by providing specialized tools essential for growth and innovation. Selected startups also receive seed funding to help them kickstart their journey.
First-time founders often need substantial support, and accelerators like Vidhai can play a pivotal role in their success. Vidhai offers a playbook based on the experiences of past startups, connects founders with investors, and teaches effective pitching strategies. Additionally, it demonstrates what a successful fundraising cycle looks like. Vidhai also collaborates with various entities in the startup ecosystem to enhance the startup and angel investing landscape in Tamil Nadu through programs, workshops, expos, and demo days.
Conceived by Hariharan Vedamurty and Sameer Bharat Ram, who are startup co-founders themselves, Vidhai boasts a stellar advisory board. This includes industry veterans like Chevalier Arun Nanda, former President and Executive Director at Mahindra & Mahindra, Sabarisan Vedamurthy, a tech entrepreneur and investor, and Ravi Mariwala, an industrialist and investor. Vidhai was launched in the presence of T.M. Anbarasan, the Minister for MSME, Tamil Nadu.
Hariharan Vedamurthy, co-founder of Vidhai, commented, 'With the ever-growing startup landscape and India poised to be a major contender on a global scale, the need for accelerators and incubators has been growing exponentially. Sabarisan Vedamurthy, an investor and tech entrepreneur, noted that Tamil Nadu is ranked number one in many aspects of the startup ecosystem. 'With initiatives like Vidhai, we should also aim to secure the top spot in the accelerator space. I am happy to be an investor and advisor for Vidhai.'
Chevalier Arun K. Nanda expressed his enthusiasm for being a part of Vidhai's advisory. 'Securing investments is a major challenge for new entrepreneurs, as it is crucial for business success.
