The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Tuesday suggested that the BJP government in Odisha should carry forward schemes and programs launched by former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, emphasizing the state's development under his administration.
At a press conference, BJD national spokesperson Santrupt Mishra criticized the new government's focus on changing names and logos rather than continuing successful initiatives.
Referencing a report by the Economic Advisory Council to the PM, Mishra and spokesperson Sasamit Patra highlighted substantial economic growth in Odisha, marking an increase in relative per capita income and the state's GDP share during Patnaik's tenure.
