Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced on Tuesday that the 'Make in India' initiative has been pivotal in enhancing the ease of doing business and attracting both domestic and foreign investments.
Launched on September 25, 2014, 'Make in India' has seen significant success, transforming India into a hub for manufacturing and innovation. The initiative has not only improved India's international standing but also spurred substantial economic growth domestically, Goyal said.
Key sectors such as electronics, steel, and textiles have experienced remarkable growth, creating millions of jobs and boosting India's manufacturing output. The government's efforts have paid off, with foreign direct investment inflows increasing by 119% over the past decade, further solidifying India's place in the global economy.
