DOMS Industries Acquires Major Stake in Uniclan Healthcare, Expands into Baby Hygiene Market

DOMS Industries Ltd has acquired a 51.77% equity stake in Uniclan Healthcare Pvt Ltd for Rs 54.88 crore, signaling its entry into the baby hygiene segment. The acquisition includes a primary infusion for capacity expansion and debt repayment. Uniclan's flagship brand 'Wowper' will benefit from DOMS' market expertise.

DOMS Industries Ltd has announced its acquisition of a 51.77% equity stake in Uniclan Healthcare Pvt Ltd, a key player in the baby hygiene product market, for a total of Rs 54.88 crore. This strategic move aims to diversify DOMS' product offerings.

The transaction involves the purchase of 71,16,080 equity shares, with Rs 28.88 crore earmarked for primary infusion. This infusion will be used for capacity expansion, debt repayment, and working capital requirements, according to a statement from DOMS Industries.

Managing Director Santosh Raveshia emphasized that this acquisition aligns with the company's broader strategy to tap new markets focused on children's needs. Uniclan's Founder, Vatsal Desai, expressed optimism about leveraging DOMS' consumer knowledge to enhance their flagship brand 'Wowper'.
