Prime Minister Narendra Modi's roundtable discussion with leading executives from global technology and energy companies in New York has ignited crucial conversations regarding India's quest for energy independence and technological progress. CEOs from Holtec International and Biogen commended PM Modi's strategic vision and the government's dedication to establishing India as a frontrunner in clean energy and technology.

Holtec International CEO Kris Singh underscored the Prime Minister's resolve to achieve energy independence through robust clean energy initiatives. 'PM Modi emphasized his ambition to make India energy-independent and rapidly expand clean energy nationwide,' Singh remarked.

Holtec International, an innovator in energy solutions, is contemplating collaborations to support India's clean energy objectives by implementing advanced technologies like small modular reactors (SMRs). Singh highlighted to Modi that transforming existing coal plants into SMRs could triple their capacity. 'PM Modi is exceptionally astute, comprehending the intricacies and challenges. His grasp on the subject is impressive,' Singh added.

Based in Jupiter, Florida, Holtec International is acclaimed for its contributions to carbon-free power generation, notably in nuclear and solar energy sectors. As part of its expansion, Holtec established the Krishna P. Singh Technology Campus, a 50-acre, USD 260 million facility in Camden, New Jersey. This project has significantly contributed to Camden's revitalization, an area that had been declining over the past five decades. The campus includes a technology center, extensive manufacturing facilities, a reactor test loop, and several buildings devoted to advancing the SMR-300 small modular reactor.
