India, currently the fifth-largest global economy with a GDP of approximately USD 3.9 trillion, has seen impressive growth, sustaining a GDP growth rate of over 7% for three consecutive years. During a roundtable discussion in New York, Modi emphasized the opportunity for collaboration in innovation and manufacturing, particularly in sectors like electronics, information technology, and semiconductors.
The meeting, organized by the MIT School of Engineering, brought together top executives from major firms, including Google, Adobe, and NVIDIA. Modi underscored India's commitment to intellectual property protection and fostering technological advancements, aiming to make India a global semiconductor manufacturing hub. The CEOs expressed strong interest in investing in startups and leveraging India's innovation-friendly policies and growing market opportunities.
