Air India's A350 Takes Flight: A Transformation Unveiled

Air India made headlines on June 10, 1948, with its first international flight from Mumbai to London, onboard the Malabar Princess. Seventy-six years later, the airline has chosen London for the international debut of its flagship A350 aircraft and its new soft product, 'Vista Verve'.

The A350 is the first new aircraft type to be introduced by any Indian airline in over a decade. These state-of-the-art planes and revamped onboard experience signal a pivotal transformation for Air India, which has recently faced criticism for its ageing fleet.

After transferring ownership from the government to Tata Group in January 2022, the airline has focused on modernizing its fleet and improving customer experience, investing heavily in infrastructure, people, and processes. The arrival of the A350, complete with elegant amenities and advanced inflight entertainment, marks a major step in its ongoing transformation efforts.
