Luxury carmakers Mercedes-Benz, Audi, and BMW are predicting record-breaking sales during the festive season in India, driven by overwhelming demand for high-end vehicles.
In an exclusive interview with PTI, Mercedes-Benz India MD and CEO Santosh Iyer stated that the luxury car sector is on track for its best performance yet, attributing this to the significant surge in festive season sales.
Despite broader industry challenges, Iyer remains optimistic, projecting the market to surpass 50,000-51,000 units this year. Audi India Head Balbir Singh Dhillon echoed this sentiment, noting increased demand but highlighting supply chain issues and global economic pressures affecting prices. BMW Group India President Vikram Pawah added that consumer confidence and special edition models will further boost festive season sales.
