Passengers of an IndiGo flight from Mumbai to Doha experienced significant delays on Sunday, resulting in over four hours of waiting inside the aircraft due to a technical issue. Complaints emerged on social media as passengers expressed frustration over the prolonged wait time.
The flight, originally scheduled for early Sunday morning, was delayed as the aircraft made multiple unsuccessful departure attempts. Sources from the Mumbai airport indicated the flight is expected to depart later in the day.
In a statement, IndiGo confirmed that flight 6E 1303 was delayed due to technical reasons and procedural delays. Apologizing for the inconvenience, the airline assured passengers that assistance, refreshments, and necessary arrangements were provided. Passengers were also offered hotel accommodations and rebooking options.
