Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw's Local Train Journey in Mumbai
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw took a local train journey in Mumbai, boarding at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and alighting at Bhandup. He interacted with commuters during the 27 km journey. Accompanied by senior officials, Vaishnaw also plans to visit a Ganesh mandal during the ongoing festival.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, on Friday, embarked on a local train journey in Mumbai, engaging with commuters who rely on this critical mode of transport daily.
Starting from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Vaishnaw travelled 27 kilometers to Bhandup, a journey extending from 2.34 pm to 3.18 pm. Several senior officials, including Central Railway General Manager Dharam Veer Meena, accompanied him on this trip.
In town for an awards ceremony, Vaishnaw also intends to visit a Ganesh mandal as part of the ongoing Ganesh festival. Previously, in February 2022, he inspected two additional railway lines between Thane and Diva stations, even sampling 'vada pav' at a roadside stall during his inspection.
