The Railway Protection Force (RPF) and the Railway's commercial department are locked in a heated dispute over the issue of illegal vendors operating in the railway premises in the Tundla section under the Prayagraj Rail Division.

In response to the allegations, Chief Security Commissioner AK Sinha has ordered a probe to uncover the truth behind the claims from both departments. The commercial department has accused the RPF of showing undue favor to illegal vendors, while the RPF contends that the commercial department is being unreasonable with authorized vendors as well.

The presence of illegal vendors, who often sell contaminated and counterfeit food products, poses a serious threat to passenger safety. The situation has escalated to the point where even the station master of Tundla, previously shot at, suspects involvement from illegal vendors due to his efforts to curb their presence.
