Maruti Suzuki Launches Fuel-Efficient S-CNG Swift with Cutting Edge Features

Maruti Suzuki India Limited has introduced the S-CNG variant of the Epic New Swift, boasting unprecedented fuel efficiency of 32.85 km per kg. Available in three trims, the new Swift S-CNG is the most fuel-efficient premium hatchback in its segment and features advanced technology to enhance the driving experience.

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) launched the S-CNG variant of the Epic New Swift on Thursday, touting its unparalleled fuel efficiency of 32.85 km per kg alongside advanced features. The automaker claims that this new variant is India's most fuel-efficient premium hatchback in its segment.

To address diverse customer preferences, the Swift S-CNG is now available in three variants: V, V(O), and Z, up from the previous two. All trims are equipped with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Ex-showroom prices for these variants are Rs 819,500, Rs 846,500, and Rs 919,500, respectively.

Maruti Suzuki began producing CNG vehicles in India in 2010 and has since sold over 2 million S-CNG units. "Our S-CNG technology has democratized green mobility solutions, and we are proud to offer the widest range of 14 S-CNG powered vehicles across all body styles," said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited.

The automaker saw a 46.8% increase in CNG passenger vehicle sales in the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to 2022-23, achieving a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 28% since 2010. With the S-CNG technology in the Epic New Swift, Maruti Suzuki aims to attract discerning customers seeking a blend of performance and top-tier fuel efficiency.

New features in the Swift S-CNG include six airbags, automatic climate control, a rear AC vent, a wireless charger, and a 17.78 cm (7-inch) Smart Play Pro infotainment system with Suzuki Connect, enhancing the overall driving experience. The vehicle is also available through Maruti Suzuki Subscribe, with monthly fees starting at Rs 21,628, subject to conditions.

Maruti Suzuki Subscribe enables customers to use a new car without owning it by paying an all-inclusive monthly subscription fee. This fee covers complete registration, service and maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance, offering a convenient way for customers to drive home a new car.
