Maruti Suzuki Targets 6 Lakh CNG Vehicle Sales in Current Fiscal

Maruti Suzuki India aims to sell around 6 lakh CNG vehicles this fiscal, marking a 25% increase from FY24. Maruti Suzuki India is on track to sell approximately 6 lakh CNG vehicles in the current fiscal year, a 25% rise from the previous fiscal, according to a senior executive.

On Wednesday, the country's leading carmaker expanded its CNG lineup by introducing S-CNG trims for its premium hatchback, the Swift. 'This fiscal we are targeting to sell around 6 lakh CNG units. We ended last year with sales of around 4.77 lakh units,' said Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India, during an interaction with PTI.

Banerjee noted that the new Swift models offer fuel efficiency of 32.85 km/kg. He also highlighted that Maruti has sold over 2 million S-CNG vehicles since pioneering CNG vehicle production in India in 2010, significantly reducing CO2 emissions.
