On September 12, sunlight filled the courtyard of Assissi Snehalaya Orphanage in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, as 26 children and an infant welcomed volunteers from the International Youth Development Fund (IYDF) and Sr Decors. The team brought sports equipment, educational materials, and food supplies, quickly transforming the atmosphere into one of joy and laughter.

Five dedicated volunteers—Kamal Kumar K, Raja Rathinam S, Mohammed Harris J, Dravin S, and Thirumaran S—provided the orphanage with not only essential supplies but also companionship and care. The donations included badminton racquets, volleyballs, 46 lined and unlined notebooks, and food items like 35 kilograms of rice, 10 kilograms of coarse wheat flour, and a variety of spices, which catered to the children's physical, academic, and nutritional needs.

Throughout the event, volunteers highlighted the mission of IYDF and encouraged active participation in learning and sports. The children quickly immersed themselves in badminton, volleyball, and chess, their laughter echoing through the space. John, the head of the orphanage, expressed deep gratitude, noting that the visit brought much-needed joy and a sense of care from the outside world.

The event's organizer, Rajadurai S, reflected on the day's impact, emphasizing that the gesture went beyond material donations to touch the children's emotional well-being. He vowed that IYDF and Sr Decors would continue their efforts to support vulnerable communities, aiming to bring hope and positive change to their lives.
