Union Minister Launches Trade Connect ePlatform for Indian Exporters and MSMEs

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, launched the Trade Connect e-platform, designed to help Indian exporters, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs. The platform connects users with Indian Missions Abroad, Export Promotion Councils, and other agencies, offering trade event info, benefits from Free Trade Agreements, and international trade data.

Union Minister for Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, on Wednesday launched the Trade Connect e-platform aimed at assisting Indian exporters, MSMEs, and entrepreneurs in expanding their reach and capabilities. The platform serves as a bridge, connecting these groups with Indian Missions Abroad, Export Promotion Councils, and other partner government agencies.

The Trade Connect e-platform is designed to provide comprehensive information about trade events happening worldwide, benefits from India's Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and a range of international trade-related data. At the launch, Goyal hailed the effort, stating, 'Truly delighted to see the baby taking birth after months of hard work collectively put in by the entire team. Commerce TCS, DGFT, and numerous inputs from various ministries contributed to this milestone.'

Goyal emphasized that the platform represents the Modi Government's digital focus and commitment to driving India toward the Viksit Bharat mission of 2047. He noted that the government aims for faster implementation of policies through technology, setting time-bound, monitorable goals to enhance ease of doing business and living for citizens. 'Prime Minister Modi has urged us to work with three times the speed to achieve better, larger, and more effective outcomes in governance,' Goyal said during the launch.
