An attempt to derail the Kalindi Express, heading towards Bhiwani from Prayagraj, was thwarted on Sunday morning in Shivrajpur, according to police reports.

The train struck an LPG cylinder placed on the tracks but came to a safe halt. The impact flung the cylinder off the rails, preventing major disaster.

Senior officials, including forensics and the Railway Protection Force (RPF), have launched an investigation. Evidence such as a damaged cylinder, petrol bottle, and matchboxes, were recovered. Authorities are focused on identifying and apprehending the culprits.
