Folk Maritime Services Company has launched a new liner service linking Saudi Arabia's Jeddah Islamic Port to India's commercial hubs, Mundra and Nhava Sheva. The initiative is expected to bolster trade ties between the two nations.

The service, which will deploy two vessels and function on a 10-day cycle, is slated to commence in September. Additionally, Folk Maritime has penned a Vessel Sharing Agreement (VSA) with Oman's Asayd, which will also provide a vessel for the route.

Poul Hestbaek, CEO of Folk Maritime, stated that the route underscores the company's ambition to become a leading maritime service provider and supports Saudi Vision 2030 to establish the Kingdom as a global logistics hub. This development is seen as a strategic move to enhance bilateral trade and strengthen economic ties.
