Tragic Incident at Chhattisgarh Alumina Refinery: Three Workers Dead, One Injured
Three workers were killed, and one injured when a coal-filled hopper collapsed at an alumina refinery in Surguja, Chhattisgarh. Rescue teams are working to find another missing worker. Three workers were tragically killed and another sustained injuries when a coal-filled hopper collapsed at the Maa Kudargarhi Alumina Refinery in Chhattisgarh's Surguja district on Sunday.
According to police, the incident took place around 11 am when the steel tower-mounted hopper gave way and fell on men working below it in Silsila village, within the Raghunathpur police jurisdiction.
Rescue efforts are currently ongoing to locate another worker who remains unaccounted for. Authorities were alerted promptly, and a team rushed to the scene to initiate the rescue operation. Three bodies have been recovered so far, and the injured worker is receiving hospital treatment. Efforts continue to trace the missing individual.
